Well it's been way to long since I last wrote. I want you all to know how much I enjoy checking in with you on your blogs, since I haven't graduated myself to facebook yet. I know I don't keep mine as up to date as I should, but I appreciate those that do.

Since I last wrote we have done several things like had a safe trip home from CA. We got to see our grandson dress up like Prince Charming for the Hoopla. Celebrated Thanksgiving with both Moo's entire family and then my immediate family. Had our Christmas drama at the Church and are moving into having a joyous Christmas. Christmas is my most favorite time of year, because it bring my whole life back in to perspective when I might have gotten lazy and unfocused on the reason I am here. Especially after our Drama which is crazy busy, but when you slow down enough to watch and listen it helps us to refocus and ask the question "What's next God?" He always has a plan for us and with all the celebrating, gift giving, eating and busyness of this season we don't slow down enough to listen to God and the plans he has for us.

Right after Christmas comes the new year and many of us will set new year resolutions and goals, I ask that each of us slow down and listen to what resolutions God would have us set for the coming year. You might be surprised what he has in store for you. I love you all and hope you all have a very blessed CHRISTmas this year.

Vacation 2010

We made it to LA with only a few miner bumps in the road. For whatever reason I was searched at the airport and Charlie had a little problem with his ears as we landed. All is well now!! I feel I have fully recovered from my surgery and am healing great. Thanks to all for your prayers. Charlie has had us going non stop since we got here, he doesn't believe in a dull moment. We have had a Charlie tour of moviestar homes, we have walked where the stars have walked saw several of the movie studios Charlie style, saw the Hollywood sign, went whale watching, visited the zoo and several historic sites just to name a few. Here are a few pictures I thought you might enjoy. We love you all and miss you so much.

Beth the Harry Potter was just for you.

Blessed, Well Yeah!!

Have you ever had your thoughts so overwhelm you that you come to our senses and realize you are crying? Lately when I am around my friends and family I sort of go into a dream like state and see how truly and beautifully I am blessed. We often take for granted the life we have and then you see or hear something that rocks your world. When I hear of all the kidnapping, shooting, theft and deceit, I could literally get sick to my stomach. I then realize I have had a wonderful life, Yes I have had some trials and diffculties but nothing that the Lord didn't help me through.

We are all the same, we all have our different troubles, but we also all have the same GOD!! It is through His strenghth and encouragement that I can look back and say yes I have been very blessed to have the most spectacular people in my life to help me through the good and the bad.
Thank you all for your part in blessing my world in the best way.

BABIES

I have been dying to share with everyone my daughter's latest news. We are going to have another little one around here. That's right Jill is expecting and due on January 1st. When I look at Levi I can hardly believe that I could love another granchild as much as I love this little guy, but I know I will.

Being a mother of three girls I know this is possible, and can hardly wait.

Congrates to Aaron, Jill and Levi.

The Braves Fans Live Here!!

I will be the first to say that I am not the biggest Braves fan, but I have a family full of die hard fans. Charlie has always been a real die hard fan. At the end of each season he says he is not going to watch them next year. Then Spring training rolls around and all you hear in our house is it's spring training. Well it use to be not that bad because he was just sort of talking to himself, no one in pecticular, but not so true lately. It started a ways back before Jill and Aaron got married, Jill would talk Braves with her dad, she loved Chipper and Steve Avery ( remember him?). Well she got married and Beth moved into her shoes. At first it was slow go and with each year her fan fever grew, she can tell you things about the team and you look at her and wonder how does she know that? But she does and more often than not shes right. Amy started getting excited a little last year, but has really blossomed as a fan this year. She is so curious and has a thousand questions, and of course Charlie is eager to answer. It's safe to say in our house you don't have to be a boy to talk Baseball.

I just sit back in wonder on these Braves game night and smile as I watch my girls sit with their dad and watch the Braves together until one falls asleep, only to be awaken by a shout of joy or maybe frustration. They all will have their opinion on how a play should have gone, who their favorite player is and who should be sitting out or traded. And of course they all want to have the last word and think that they would make a better manager than Bobby Cox. But when it's all said and done the Braves either win or lose, all retire for the evening and plan to come together tomorrow for another game and time of family bonding.

All I can say is Go Braves. You are "my team" for how you have blessed my family.

Slow Life

Amy commented the other day, that she didn't know what she would do without the internet. She is a girl that wants info and wants it at her finger tips. We got to discussing this and it brought back good memories of days past. I am old and I do remember when there was nothing to do in the evenings but sit and watch a little T. V., read a book, sit on the porch or visit a neighbor or family member. Now we are too busy to slow down.

Charlie and I laugh about going to the cabin when we go, because there is no phone, no TV, (we can watch a movie) no internet, no air conditioning, just the peace and quite of the world around us. It gives us more time to talk with each other, do nothing, nap in the middle of the day, read a book, or just sit on the porch and swing. I love this time and I too wonder about this hetic life we have just two hours down the road from the cabin and why when we leave we move right back into this crazy too busy to do anything lifestyle. How do we make ourselves adjust so easily to the cabin life when there and then revert right back to home life once we leave?

I am going to try to slow my life down and enjoy what I have left. I am not going to borrow trouble and I am going to Love freely. Why not come and join me? I'll share a glass of tea with you while we sit on the porch and swing.

I'm Back

Today I was looking at all the wonderful post of Levi and other friends and family and decided I needed to get back to this. I'm a slow learner so be patient because I have to learn it all over again. I was amazed that I haven't posted anything since this time last year so I need to do a little catching up---
Happy birthday Amy, Levi, Aaron, Charlie, Jill and oh yea Beth again. Oh ok all you nieces and nephews too. Hope you all had a Great Father's Day, Summer Vacation , July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, a very blessed Christmas, a Happy New Year, Valentine's day(Don't remind me I'm single again day) Saint Patrick's Day, and A Wonderful Mother's day. I think I covered them all.

So that brings me back to Our 30th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by going to the Georgia Aquarium on Sunday and staying near the airport to watch the planes land and take off. That place is really busy. Then on Monday we toured the Fox Theater. That was lots of fun very interesting. Then we had lunch at Mary Mac's. Great food!!! Before heading home we had to stop and get something for Levi. Charlie keeps telling me he is grandchild broke. I keep telling him be grateful he's a grandson, because girls have a lot more things and alot of cute clothes to bye.

It has been great getting back into the swing of things. Hope you all will come back and see me soon.
